Residence Halls
Campus student residences are equipped with Internet connection ports and cabling for students' personal computers. To set up your connection, you are required to register your computer using Hampton University Campus Network Manager.
The campus network uses DHCP to dynamically allocate IP addresses to student computers.
To connect your computer to the Internet from a student residence, this is what you need:
- Computer that meets the Student Computer requirements
- Ethernet cable to connect to the Network port in your campus residence
- Register your computer with Campus Manager
- Ensure your computer is configured to use DHCP
